Income and Benefits
Au pairs generally work 20-35 hours multiplied by the hourly rate less deduction plus additional benefits below. Most of our Au Pairs earn in excess of €150 per week plus accommodation. Higher rates negotiable depending on experience and families’ ability to pay. The babysitter rate for under 18 yrs is €7.14 per hour.

Insurance and Visa
It’s important to have valid insurance with COVID cover when working in Ireland. EU citizens can apply for the European Health Card. Other nationalities will need to have private health insurance to cover them in Ireland. You can work in Ireland with the following visas but please note that student visa applicants can be difficult to place due to the lack of available jobs that fit with student schedules.
