About me and my experience

I am Kim. I’m 29 years old and willing to look after School-age children ( Sole charge) and Teenagers (Sole charge).

My childcare experience is based on the past and the present. When I was 19, I cared for my younger sisters when my parents needed my help. They are 21 and 26 right now. I was also the babysitter for my two nieces and nephew, who are 20, 17 and 15 now. We ate together, watched television, played games, and I put them to bed. This year I started volunteering as an assisting teacher at a primary school and for an acrobatic gymnastic group. At my school, I help the kids (5-8 years old) at school with reading, math and crafts. I help the gymnastic kids (4-15 years old) with their warming up, performance and tricks. The kids always make me smile because of their enthusiasm, willingness to learn and honesty.

I have experience in many household tasks, such as laundry and cleaning. I like living in a clean and tidy environment and taking care of that. I love cooking and doing groceries. Driving is one of my hobbies. I’m also a driver. I have had my driver’s license since 2011 and have countless hours of experience. I have driven in the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany and Greece.

I’m looking forward to learning how to drive on the opposite side. Therefore I can bring your kids everywhere.

My first job was when I was 17 years old as a nanny during the summer of 2014. This came about because of my father, we moved to Mexico City for a few years, and there I was a nanny to two girls who I loved unconditionally, aged six years and six months. The tasks consisted of picking the eldest up from school, bottle feeding and bathing the youngest and putting them to bed. I also helped the oldest with her homework. It was my first experience with childcare, and I learnt a lot and gained a lot of responsibility despite my 17 years. I finished my job with them in August 2016. In January 2016, I had my second job as a nanny for two beautiful girls (three years old) and eight months old.  I did tasks such as feeding them, picking the eldest up from the nursery, bathing them, changing nappies, taking them for a walk to the park and doing different activities according to their age. For me, it was an amazing experience during the two years I took care of the girls, and nowadays, I keep in touch with the mother and the girls, although we live quite far away.
At the end of July 2018, I had to stop looking after the girls because I was returning to Spain, but that didn’t stop me from continuing to work with children, which is my passion. So in October 2018, I had my last experience as a nanny in my hometown, Barcelona. On this occasion, I worked with a 5-year-old boy, with whom I performed tasks, such as picking him up from school, doing homework, playing different games both in the park and at home, feeding him dinner and on occasion I had to read him a bedtime story, as his mother had a complicated schedule. I finished my work with him in December 2021 because I had to do my internship at the university, and it prevented me from doing both tasks, but I still kept in touch with the family.

As for the type of family I would like, I don’t have any specific requests. I can easily adapt, so I don’t think I could have any problems. The only thing I would like to mention is that it should be a friendly family with whom I can have long chats that will make it easier for me to learn the language and that will also allow me to take English classes outside my working hours. As I mentioned, in my spare time, I would like to get to know Ireland and mainly take English classes that will allow me to advance in the process of learning the language.

I wouldn’t like to live in a village as I have fewer possibilities to talk to people in restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, parks…

I have been taking care of children in my town for about two years. I’m 22 years and willing to look after Babies 0-1 year and Infants 1-2 years (sole charge with some training or where the parent is at home), toddlers 3 to 4 years and school-age children ( Sole charge). I took care of three years old child in the afternoons for a year, making him snacks, and doing homework (drawing pictures, learning numbers, colours and so on). After that, we played games, cooked dinner, and organized his bath.

After that, I cared for a two-year-old child for one year from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. I gave him breakfast, dressed him, took him to daycare, played, fed him, and during his napping time, his mother came from the office, and I left.
My cooking skills are basic. I can cook vegetables, fry eggs, make omelettes and so on. Sometimes, I cook recipes that I see on the internet, and I am capable of making pastries. My skills in cleaning a house include mopping the floor, sweeping, washing dishes, putting washing machines, etc.
Also, I would add that I have been driving since 2019, when I got my license.

My childcare experience is with children aged three to thirteen. I babysat for three families for over three years. I mostly minded the children (aged 5 to 13) on the weekends or after school multiple times a week. I was in sole charge. I helped them with their homework, cooked for them and brought them to bed. I also worked as a camp counsellor at age fourteen, where the children were aged 11 to 13. In October, I worked at a kindergarten for one month, where I played with the children, settled disputes, prepared the food and cleaned them.

I do daily tasks such as washing dishes, laundry, cleaning etc. I am also able to iron but don´t do it very often. I cook for my family multiple times a week.

I do not have a driving licence yet, but I am learning now and will probably finish in January. Then I will be able to drive a manual and automatic car. With some help getting used to driving on the opposite side, I would be willing to drive in Ireland.

I do not have experience with children with disability or elderly care but would be open to working with them. I also don´t mind taking care of pets.

The age of the children does not matter to me. I am also willing to take care of multiple children, elderly people or people that are disabled.
I would, however, prefer a family that lives in a city, near a city, or in a small town/village with good access to public transport.

Louann is 24 years old. She gained her experience taking care of children in a babysitting agency. Louann took care of three children aged 2, 4, and6 years old for a couple of months, three mornings a week. This included taking care of them getting breakfast, getting ready and taking them to school & daycare and changing the baby’s nappy. Louann picked them up after school, read to them, played with them in the garden, drew pictures and went to the park after school). She also did some babysitting in the evening/night when the parents needed it. In addition to this family, She did occasional babysitting in the evening with other families. Furthermore, for 2 years, Louann babysat and take care of the children of one of her mother’s friends ( aged 7 and 2 years old) on Saturdays.

Louann has studied for a master’s degree to become an English teacher and completed several internships in schools.
Louann has two younger brothers that she regularly cared for when her parents worked in the afternoons, and on holiday time.

Louann describes herself as independent and able to take care of the housework. She can iron but is a bit slow doing it. She loves to bake and cook.

Furthermore, Lourann has had a driving licence for four years and drives daily. She is comfortable driving in all kinds of weather. She drives a manual car, but when she was in Erasmus placement in Lithuania, she drove an automatic.

Amandine is 21 years old. She gained experience with her neighbour’s children aged 1 and 3 years, who have provided a reference. She minded the children Monday to Friday for three summer months and was in sole charge. She changed the baby’s nappy regularly and prepared and fed him. Amandine has also worked in an after-school programme helping children with their homework. The children were aged 7 to 8, and she did this for three weeks -Monday to Friday. Amandine is also a basketball coach for children aged 12-13 years. She has been doing this once a week for two years.
Amandine can do daily tasks such as washing dishes, her own laundry and the house bed linen. She also has experience feeding and looking after her dog. She can iron but does not do it so often.  Amandine is a good cook and cooks dinner for her family once a week.

Natalia is 23 years old. She has gained her experience with her neighbour’s children. For the last three years, in summer, She has been taking care of a six year old girl for three weeks. Natalia also cared for a taught a 4-year-old girl from September to July two times a week. She spent a lot of time playing football and basketball, riding bikes, drawing and making handicrafts. Natalia’s daily duties included preparing meals for children, washing dishes, and cleaning the house. Natalia is a good cook and makes homemade pizza, Spanish omelette etc.

Natalia’s sister is 14 years old, so she changed her nappy regularly as a baby and prepared and fed her almost every day because her parents were working. When older she picked her up from school and played games with her.

Yasnna is 19 years old. Yasnna gained her experience firstly with her neighbour’s children aged 2-12 years.  Yasnna was solely in charge of the children and minded them monthly on and off a few Saturdays (09:00 to 17:00) for a few years. The role involved ensuring the children ate their lunch, helping the middle child with her homework, playing video/board games with them and going to the playground. The eldest would often spend time outside of the house with her friends, so Yasnna made rules regarding this. She also cycled to the swimming pool with the middle child. Yasnna helped with toilet accidents with the youngest.  Yasnna also babysat for two other girls aged 2 and 4 yrs a few times on different Saturdays between 19:00 and 01:00.  She played games and made them warm milk or yoghurt with muesli before preparing them for bed. Yasnna also changed the diaper of the youngest. Yasnna is also experienced working as a volunteer at a primary school where her mother works with children aged 9-12 years old. She helps with school projects/celebrations, art workshops, class excursions and making a movie. Furthermore, she teaches them in groups of about 8 with children between 4-13 how to dance.  Yasnna also volunteers with other children in her musical theatre classes, such as getting the kids dressed in costume, helping them learn their lines, making sure they are at the right place at the right time and getting them on and off stage. Pien is 19 years old. She gained experience taking care of children aged 4-12 years as she started babysitting when she was 12 yrs. This included picking the children up from school and minding them until the parents came home. Activities included playing games, making crafts, playing outside, and reading with them. Furthermore, Pein tutored children who fell behind with online classes during Covid. Pein is also a sailing instructor at a sailing school and teaches children aged 12 to 17 at camp to sail. She has been involved in the camps for two years. Pien is qualified in First Aid. Part of the training of being a sailing instructor was a first aid course in case one of the children would have an incident. Pien looks after her two cats and is happy to take care of pets. Pein does not have a driving licence.

When Pein was 15, she sailed on a three-masted tall ship for six months with 36 other teenagers. During this time, she was pushed to do as much as possible, including things like cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, planning our regular school work and sailing the ship. Here She learned to cook and clean for 50 people, so she feels comfortable doing this as an Au Pair

Sonja is 18 years old. She has gained experience taking care of kids in various positions, including tutoring and playing. Sonja also did a babysitting class where she learned how to change nappies, occupy children and deal with them when they are having a temper tantrum. This training also included a one-day-long internship at a kindergarten where she looked after and played with 3 to 6-year-olds (c.f. certificate for babysitting class).
As a tutor, Sonja worked with children from 12 to 17 years old. She tutored them individually in Maths and revision techniques. Sonja also helped an English teacher in a class with students struggling with the subject due to the lack of speaking English.

Laura is 18 -year-old and her child care experience is a family experience. She has also completed an internship at schools and child daycare. About me and my Experience

I’m 19 years and willing to look after Infants 1-2 years (Sole Charge with Some Training), Infants 1-2 years (Where a parent is at home), Toddler 3 to 4 years ( Sole charge) and Schoolage children ( Sole charge).

First, I have worked as a babysitter in my neighbourhood since 2018. I look after two boys aged 5 and 8, prepare food, do handicrafts, read books, take walks, bathe them from time to time and put them to bed, in sole charge. I have gained experience in working with children aged 1 to 10.

The child was two years old. In June/September 2007/2008, I took care of a girl who was 1-2 years. Linde is 19 years old. She has gained experience taking care of kids in various positions. From the age of thirteen, Linde did various babysitting at church for groups of children ages 0-4. Over the years, Linde has had different babysitting jobs and worked in a children’s clothing store. Linde also did an internship and worked in an elementary school with children of various ages (4-12). I’m an Au Pair in Ireland from Feb to June with three children aged 1 to 7 years.

I have also been a tutor to an 11year old once a week for two years in Germany. I have multiple babysitting jobs. I’m Matte, and I’m 20 years and willing to look after babies 0-1 year and Infants 1-2 years ( sole charge with some training or where the parent is at home), toddlers 3 to 4 years, school-age children and teenagers(sole charge)

I am currently studying to become an English teacher, so I have gained expercience working with children during multiple internships. I have taught children between the ages of 11 and 19. I would teach them about 2 to 3 times a week for 45 minutes. I did this work for about 1 year all together. I really enjoy teaching and would be very willing to help your children with homework.
I also babysat for about 3 months. I did this every Sunday for about 5 to 6 hours. I looked after two children, aged 2 and 5. I got on really well with the children.

As I currently live on my own and have for one year, I can do all domestic work. I have been told that my cooking is quite delicious. I can cook most things as long as I have a recipe.

I do not have a driver’s license. I am taken a first aid course. I also have completed my first year of my bachelor of education, including a certificate.
