How to Au Pair Free in Ireland

Au Pairs are placed for free if they match with any of our families on our Jobs Board. Cara International and Our Host families pay us for our service, so you don’t have to. Our families offer you great terms and conditions, as you will see below.
Payment/Wages
All Au Pairs/Minders paid Irish Legal Minimum Wage of €9.04 ( 18 yrs), €10.17 €19 yrs and €11.30 for 20 yrs. All candidates are provided with a Family Job Description, Family photos, Family Reference details, Terms of Employment, Employee Handbook, and Timesheets. Most Au Pairs earn €100-300 per week (depending on hours on contract) plus board and lodgings. Sometimes Minders can negotiate higher pay rates depending on experience and families’ ability to pay. Au Pairs are entitled to paid annual leave of 8% of hours worked, equating to approximately four weeks in a year if working full time.

Caroline holds a BA in Social Care, A Master in Family Support, A Post Grad in Leadership and management, and a QQI in Life Coaching and QQI in Training. Caroline won Mayo Business Woman of the Year in 2015 for her business achievements with Cara International. Caroline has also worked for various statutory and voluntary sectors, often supporting young people; Cara International has been placing Au Pairs for 22 years, so she has lots of experience and knowledge to enable you to have a fulfilled life. Some Au Pairs do not fit with jobs available on our Jobs Board. They may have specific requirements regarding job location, hours etc. Cara International can advertise your profile here for just €25, so you can target the families you specifically require. Many Au Pairs come to Ireland to learn English and family jobs are located throughout the country including countryside locations. Cara International has partnered with an online English school based in Ireland, to offer you English classes from any location in the country. Those with low levels can even start their classes before arriving.
